Why Inca Projects in Peru?

Set high in the Andes and along the Pacific Coast, Peru is always a popular destination. With its staggering vistas, sandy beaches and rainforests and diversity of wildlife, Peru is a land of inspiration. Whether you’re interested in finding out about pre-Hispanic Inca culture or exploring a range of awe-inspiring landscapes, Peru has it all.

Archaeology in Peru

Our unique Inca Projects are run in cooperation with the Peruvian government around the Andean town of Huyro. Volunteers work alongside Peruvian experts on archaeological excavations, restoring ancient Inca terracing systems and piecing together a giant archaeological jigsaw puzzle. Our restoration work in Sacsayhuaman Park is combined with small community projects in Patabamba and Huyro. There is also the chance for real adventure, with explorations in ruins well away from the usual tourist trail. This is the perfect placement for someone who doesn’t mind physical outdoor work and is interested in discovering more about a fascinating ancient people.
